Understanding The Internet Of Things
The Internet Of Things is becoming one of the most commonly referenced technological concepts that many people still don’t understand. It’s casually referred to in ads for technological companies, and there’s limitless literature about it online that often communicates very little real detail. So how can you make sense of something that already seems toContinue reading “Understanding The Internet Of Things”
For the Love of Mobile MS Apps on Windows 10
It is weekend, which means I have a few minutes to rant about my frustration on the direction MS is going concerning Mobile Apps (the so called Metro/Modern/Universal Apps) and Windows 10. As you may recall, Microsoft put out the news this week they will nix their Lync Metro App in preference of the DesktopContinue reading “For the Love of Mobile MS Apps on Windows 10”

Microsoft still doesn’t support OS Upgrade of VHD-Boot
This is what you get for trusting a Microsoft Setup Tech called VHD-Boot. This technology is officially a supported Install Scenario from Microsoft. Apple pushes its head further into the sand
Boy, I knew this was coming, still it was disappointment when it comes. Apple Painted itself into a Corner
With all the nude leaks going on these last days, all linked to iCloud breach, and the thundering silence of Apple to respond officially to the allegations, I am smelling a rat. Designing the Windows Folder for the Mobile Era
Here is a little suggestion for Microsoft Windows Design team to improve Windows for the modern/mobile age. The Name and Shame Game
Image Credit: http://www.geeky-gadgets.com This is an attempt to Name and Shame some of these companies that rode on Microsoft’s shoulders to greatness, but turn around to hate Microsoft’s guts. What prompted this is the news last week that Valve has joined the Linux Foundation, thus moving further away from its Windows root. I tweeted somethingContinue reading “The Name and Shame Game”

Click on this pic to see “Helpful” Yes/No figures. A picture they say is worth more than a thousand words. I think the picture above is a good testification of that age old adage. Why Metro UI Doesn’t Have a Name (Original Article from Summer 2012)
I had originally written this article as a guest-post on newoin.net on August 2012. To see the guest post, please click here. According to Microsoft, Windows 8 is “a bold reimagining of Windows, from the chipset to the user experience.” This reimagining, then, brings a completely new user interface to Windows 8, an UI thatContinue reading “Why Metro UI Doesn’t Have a Name (Original Article from Summer 2012)”
