By now I am sure that you, dear reader, are aware that several sites on the internet have “blacked out” in protest of SOPA and PIPA. SOPA being the Stop Online Piracy Act and PIPA being the Protect IP Act. The two proposed bills could effectively stop the internet as we know it by allowing the government to shut down sites that host copyrighted content. If you don’t want this to happen then sign the petition and give your state representatives a call asking them not to vote for either SOPA or PIPA. Together we as citizens on the internet can AND will stop these two proposed bills.
