Have you ever wanted your voice to be heard? Why not try the internet? Instead of just hearing your voice, you can be seen too! You ask how? Easy, I’ll tell you. You can start your own webshow for free on Ustream. That’s right, I said FREE! All you need is a webcam and an internet connection. Once you have that, head on over to their website (link is in the source area below.)
There you can create your own webshow where anyone can see it. Over time you will develop an audience of people who will be dedicated to watching your show. Before you do that here are some tips to help you get started:
- Make your show is interesting: Have interesting topics and/or segments
- Don’t say anything that will offend your audience: This is the fastest way to lose your viewers. Keep things on the up and up. Leave the offensive talk to Howard Stern.
- Talk about things that are relevant to your audience: Your viewers will not sit around long if you drone on and on like Ben Stein. talk about things that are popular and happening right now or perhaps what was popular. People like nostalgia.
- Most importantly, have fun: Making a webshow shouldn’t just be work. Have fun while you are doing it.You will be guaranteed to keep an audience that way.
There you have it. There are even more tips you can get by searching Google or any Internet search engine. By the way, did you know that
Landor Industries Live (now known as Techtronica) has a webshow? It’s called (incidently) Landor Industries Live (the Techtronica Podcast Network). You can check it out on Ustream right now or go to the Landor Industries Live TPN page right here on the site so you will be able to chat with other viewers in the chatroom. Have fun!
