Temple Run Oz is in the Store!

Temple RUn Oz

Preview and Install

I was just browsing the store today when I noticed that Disney had released yet another game, Temple Run Oz. This game is essentially a Wizards of Oz branded version of Temple Run 2. Whereas Temple Run Brave was built on Temple Run 1, this one is built on Temple Run 2. You can see that from the screenshots which show curved roads, balloon flying, and warm-holes. This game is not free nor does it offer a trial version. It is a paid app and requires a leap of faith. I will let you decide if you want to buy it or not. It is currently $3.49.

ESPN Crickinfo – Keep in Touch with Latest Cricket Scores and News

ESPN Crickinfo 1

Before the official debut of the ESPN’s main app on Windows 8, we had another app by ESPN dedicated to the Cricket sport. I, for one, love cricket; so this app is a blessing. ESPN Crickinfo lets you stay in touch with the latest Cricket scores and news. You can even view game schedule and watch highlights from previous games. The only thing that’s missing is actual live games that you are able to watch on the ESPN3 website. I am still holding out for an ESPN3 app that also allows me to play to my HD TV using DLNA. But for now, we have this!

November 26, 2012: we’re aware of the slow-loading issues affecting some (not all) of you, and we’re actively working on it. We should have a fix in place very soon – we’ll update this page when we have more news.

The ESPN Cricinfo Windows 8 app provides comprehensive coverage of cricket from around the world from espncricinfo.com. With live ball-by-ball scoring, comprehensive news, features and editorial content, it’s the most beautiful way yet to follow cricket.

Coming soon: push notifications for wickets and results.

Ball-by-ball live scoring of cricket matches from around the world.

Breaking news, previews and match reports keep you up-to-date with the latest in the sport.

Feature articles providing opinion, in-depth analysis, tributes, profiles and much more from ESPN Cricinfo’s global team of writers.

Cars 2- Movie Review

Cars 2 is a Disney film released June 24th, 2011 as a sequel to the 2006 hit animated film Cars. In Cars 2, you are taken on quite the adventure as Lightning McQueen, Mater, and the gang travel the world for McQueen to race in the World Grand Prix. The context of the movies is rather generic for Disney films which in most cases would make a par film, but the overall delivery of the content and story of the movie allowed Disney to capture attention once again. Though it is really debated on who’s film it really was, I believe Cars 2 more focuses on Mater, the tow truck who becomes Lightning McQueen’s best friend in the first Cars movie.

Traveling around the world with Fin McMissiles and Holly Shiftwell, Mater helps to figure out what is causing the other race cars to blow engines during the first two races of the World Grand Prix. Eventually in the end Mater is the last hope for finding the root cause of all the engine explosions bringing the founder of the World Grand Prix in the movie, to justice.

To not spoil the movie too much more, I would have to say that I recommend this movie for the amazing visual effects, decent story line, and overall the action packed adventure that demands your attention throughout the movie. Though there are parts of the movie that are a little sketchy, the overall movie was fantastic. I would have to say out of 10 stars this movie would get about 9.5 for the overall fact that the movie did what it was supposed to. And that is to Entertain, and to keep the audience watching.

[review pros=”Amazing visual effects, decent story line, action packed adventure that demands your attention throughout the movie.” cons=”Parts of the movie a little sketchy” score=95]
