Monday, April 2nd, 2012 marked a milestone in EA Sports as they revealed to the public a preview of the sights and sounds of their new version of NCAA Football. Featuring on this year’s cover will be Robert Griffin III, but there’s a catch. Not only will the Baylor QB be featured on the front page of EA Sports top seller but so will either Herschel Walker or Barry Sanders. Both of these athletes were voted to be in the top 2 of the vote and now the world most vite between the two.
One of the most talked about things around NCAA Football [the game] is that there have not been as many changes to the commentary and backgrounds noises like hits or crowd noise. This year EA Sports has changed these sounds and brought them to a whole, new level. The tech team at EA Sports went around to several college football games across the nation and recorded actual sounds, hits and noises heard at a live NCAA division game. Rumors and speculations have it that topping the list of traditional sounds heard on the game this year will be Georgia Tech’s Steam Whistle, Jump Around [House of Pain] at Camp Randall to start the 4th quarter and pre-game chants at many other games.
Many gamers complained about the delay, unrealism and other negative features found in the commentating in past NCAA Football versions. This year EA Sports brought Kirk Herbstreit and Brad Nessler into a recording studio, gave them the situation of the play and let them [unscripted] announce it the way they normally would during a game. As one of the game’s creator commented; this will create such a greater gaming experience in years past, this will be something that will be talked about for a long time.
Oregon has lost their minds, but in a good way… We even have that chrome look they wore during the Rose Bowl. And after Oregon, now Oklahoma State has 11 alternates you can choose from in the game.
Those were the comments Ben Haumiller had to say when questioned about the accuracy and corresponding number of uniforms available. Also this year you may catch a glimpse of never before seen uniforms.
We work with the apparel companies and the schools to not only get the uniforms you saw last year, but we work with them to get some of the uniforms they are about to debut this season into the game, so we actually debut the new looks and show them off in the game before anyone sees them in real life.
Once again, Haumiller stated that EA Sports is majorly improving the realism of the game by adding new looks to the game.
As well as uniforms, another aspect is a highly viewed area for gamers and that is each teams stadium, practice field and the game’s available high school stadiums that will now correspond to the area of the nation the high school is located within. Haumiller also added that the tech teams at EA Sports took the chance to go down to North Texas and FAU’s stadiums and complete an inch be inch scan that will be high points in the graphics used in the XBOX 720 and PlayStation 4.

for the last years, EA’s online dynasty has been the glitchiest thing since Windows ME..
Particularly, the recruiting and week advance process..
what happens ?
commish advances to the next week… last weeks results disappear and your game gets simulated… same with recruiting results..
And recruiting seems to have this issue the most during the offseason when it matters most..
Its been like that for the last 3 years.. EA is asleep at the wheel..
who cares about the sounds of the tackles if the tackle count is going to be erased and simmed by the computer once the week is advanced..
i think i’d rather find an old tin-can, magnetic football game from the 50’s to play than EA … at least that way i know im not wasting an hour of my life to find out the results won’t stand…
Every year, it happens the same way… they put out a game. it doesn’t work for a week or 4… they patch it up.. the online dynasty stops working… they dont fix it..
Every year, they talk about how they make the game play better.. they improve the way the menus look.. they add new uniforms.. but they ignore the functionality… They have damn near a perfect game every year except for one or two giant zebra-striped, elephant-sized errors glaring the duped-once-again customer in the face.. They won’t fix these problems because they won’t any sales on next year’s game.. They have to make the game imperfect, because it gives the illusion that they are actually working on improving the new game for next year….
Its a joke.. and instead of being grateful that they have a huge chunk of a 90 billion dollar recession-proof industry, they would rather exploit families pocket books with a “repeatingly” less-complete game year after year all for the sake of pleasing the ever so rotten spoiled children that they’ve helped under develop..

Not that we’re currently aware of. EA Sports is currently having new releases of videos related to NCAA Football 13 every Thursday. Also, they made a statement saying this on Saturday around 1:00pm, “Next week at #EASPORTSE3, we’ll be capturing exclusive unedited gameplay from NCAA Football 13 to show you on Facebook!”

ncaa 2012 was the most unrealistic of the ea football games. one defender covering two receivers, a 78 speed mlb covering a 94 speed wr, video reviews wrong 40% of the time, db’s intercepting passes when they never see the ball, a defender standing on the 20 can jump up and knock down a ball intended for a receiver on the 40 (not Favre throws a pass that flat); too one-dimensional. Really hope EA cleans up the 2013 game.

There are many features that I agree that can be changed. For instance, I’ve experienced plays where my CB has released coverage on a TE to intercept a ball heading towards my far left WR. He wasn’t facing the ball at all but from the information I know about game design I understand that there’s a lot of difficulty to make it that realistic.

Does anybody know if they are going to add UTSA, Texas State, UMass, S. Alabama, Charlotte to this years NCAA 2013?

It would be badass if they added the Senior Bowl as well

I agree. The Senior Bowl would be a very great addition to NCAAF 13. I also liked it better when you could actual “train” your players similar to Madden 08 and other editions which made it mor realistic in my opinion.
